Georgia Tech welcomes Donna G. Bertrand to The Contracting Education Academy. As program manager, her responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of The Academy.
Donna brings 15 years of experience in government contracting as well as impressive educational credentials to the position. An MBA graduate of Columbia University’s school of business, Donna is a leader in improving professional certification for Georgia procurement officials through the Department of Administrative Services. An experienced contract negotiator, Donna comes to The Academy from Kennesaw State University where she held the position of Procurement Director.
“I welcome this new challenge in my career,” says Ms. Bertrand, “and I look forward to bringing even greater value to students and clients of The Academy through our course offerings and advice.”
Chuck Schadl, group manager for contracting services at Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, announced Ms. Bertrand’s appointment effective July 30, 2012. “I’m very optimistic that Donna Bertrand is going to be making significant contributions to the success of The Academy,” Schadl states. “Look for an even stronger training calendar and a wider range of professional education services.”
