Federal agencies saved $300 million through strategic sourcing initiatives that leverage the government’s buying power, said the General Services Administration’s acting administrator during testimony before a House subcommittee on Mar. 19, 2013.
Strategic sourcing identifies the top-value vendors for common goods and services and also provides improved management of agency purchases, said GSA chief Daniel Tangherlini in testimony before the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.
