Agencies, industry invited to explore mobile services strategic roadmap

Government needs a forward-looking mobile plan allowing the federal workforce to work securely anywhere, anytime from any device.

GSA logoThis is according to a post by Mary Davie, assistant commissioner for Integrated Technology Services at the Federal Acquisition Service, on the General Services Administration’s Great Government through Technology blog.

The Office of Management and Budget’s Mobile Services Category Team has been set up to accomplish that, believes Davie, looking at how to acquire, maintain and manage mobile services from her perspective of governmentwide IT Category Manager.

The cross-agency MSCT has been assembled to devise a governmentwide strategic plan increasing efficiency and savings while navigating mobile services acquisition.
